Introducing Probe’s New 2020 Survey: Religious Views and Practices of American Adults

Our new 2020 survey looks at Americans ages 18 through 55 from all religious persuasions. The survey reveals a striking decline in basic Christian religious beliefs and practices over the last ten years. From a biblical worldview to doctrinal beliefs and pluralism to the application of biblical teaching to sexual mores, Americans applying biblical teaching to their thinking has dropped significantly. The greatest level of decline is found among Born Again Protestants.

In 2023, we added a longer report covering the results found by analyzing a wide variety of questions asked in the survey. Many of those results are compared with similar results from our 2010 survey giving us a solid view of the trends over time. The report is entitled Understanding a Post-Christian America in 2020.
